A popular prayer topic is to pray against delay. Some even organise special programs around it. . The idea is that if you haven't achieved certain things such as education, marriage, business, etc., at a certain age, then there's a delay in your life.
This idea is contrary to God's plan for us. With God there are no delays. You start when you start and make steady progress. The reason some think there's a delay in their lives is because they compare themselves with others instead of focusing on their personal journeys.
